Three students from Seku university have died on the spot following a road accident last night.
Two students are from the main campus in Kwa Vonza while the other form Kitui town learning center.
According to reports, the three were riding a motorcycle from the university to their residence in Kwa Vonza when they crashed into the back of a sand truck that had been parked by the roadside.
The motorcycle wanted to overtake the truck but due to a mechanical failure where the motorbike was left stuck on the wheels of the car.
The police officers from Kwa Vonza arrived and launched investigations.
The eye witnesses suggested that the motorcycle was speeding before it crashed into the lorry.
Other reports suggested that poor visibility and and truck’s position may have contributed to the crash.
Their bodies were taken to Kitui Hospital Mortuary as investigations continued.
