At least 6 people have been confirmed dead following a road accident at the Kipsitet area along the Kericho-Kisumu highway.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, September 16, after a speeding lorry lost control and rammed into pedestrians who were at a bus stop.
The lorry also ploughed into several boda boda operators who were waiting for customers.

The lorry, which was carrying scrap metals, was heading towards Kisumu when it veered off the road and caused an accident.
Photos of the incident shared online showed the lorry lying on its side with damage to the windscreen and doors.
According to reports, one woman and three men died on the spot, while two others succumbed to the injuries while being rushed to the hospital.
Four others sustained injuries and were taken to the Kericho County hospital for medical attention.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the facility’s morgue, awaiting post-mortem examination.
This incident comes just a day after four people were injured in a collision between a Toyota Probox and a long-haul truck at Kalimbini, near Sultan Hamud, along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway in Makueni County.
Two victims with serious injuries were rushed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital, while the other two, who suffered minor injuries, were admitted to Sultan Hamud Level 4 Hospital.
