Police officers in Kitale county have arrested six suspects believed to be involved in a range of criminal activities.
In a statement by the National police service (NPS), the arrest followed after a targeted security operation was carried out on the morning of September 29 in the Burma Slums in Kitale Town.
During the raid, officers recovered a variety of electronic devices suspected to be stolen property.

They also seized four litres of chang’aa and several crude weapons believed to have been used in committing crimes.
The suspects were immediately placed under custody as police initiated processing ahead of their arraignment.
All the recovered items have since been secured at the station to be used as evidence in court.
This operation is part of sustained efforts by the National Police Service to enhance public safety and deter criminal activity across the country.
