DCI boss Amin Mohamed has revealed 485 people have been arrested over the chaos that was witnessed during the June 25th protests.
Speaking at the DCI Headquarters on Monday, June 30, the DCI boss stated that 448 people had already been charged in court.
37 other suspects are still in police custody pending their arraignment in court.

The DCI boss moreover revealed that some of the suspects were charged with murder.
Other suspects are facing charges relating to rape, gange rape, robbery with violence, incitement to violence, handling stolen goods among others.
He went on to disclose that his investigations had revealed that some individuals had sponsored goons to infiltrate the protests.
According to the DCI boss, the sponsors were still being investigated with arrests expected in the coming days.
He also clarified that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had not been summoned yet.
However, he maintained that should investigations establish his role in the chaos, he would be arrested.
