Police have recovered 105 suspected stolen mobile phones, two laptops and an assortment of mobile phone accessories during an operation in Madogo Township, Garissa County.
In a statement on Monday, July 20, the National Police Service (NPS) said the recovery was made during a raid conducted along Mums Street as part of an operation targeting the illegal trade in suspected stolen electronic devices.
According to the NPS, the operation was launched after officers received intelligence linking a business premises in the area to the handling of suspected stolen property.

During the raid, police recovered the electronic devices and arrested two suspects believed to be connected to the illicit trade.
The suspects were taken into lawful custody and are expected to be arraigned in court once investigations are completed.
Meanwhile, investigators have commenced efforts to trace owners of the recovered gadgets to establish whether they are among devices reported stolen by members of the public.
The police urged anyone who may have recently lost a mobile phone or laptop in the area to cooperate with investigators as the identification process continues.
The National Police Service said the operation forms part of its ongoing crackdown on the trade in stolen property and reaffirmed its commitment to combating criminal activities across the country.
Authorities noted that investigations are still ongoing and that further action will be taken depending on the outcome of the probe.
