Musician Willy Paul is trending on social media after voicing his controversial opinion on how Kenyan musicians are treated by their fans
The musician stated lack of recognition for talented musicians as one of the limitations.
“Most Kenyan artists are just overrated and that is what’s killing the music industry.”
Willy Paul further urged Kenyans to prioritize talent and skills over popularity, calling on them to stop praising what he defined as “clowns” in the industry.
“Stop praising these clowns and support real talent,” he stated.
The musician also talked of his own achievements dwelling mostly on his latest hit “Kuukuu” which was released five months ago.
According to him the hit has gained a strong support from influencers especially Sheryl Gabriella whom he promised a trip to Dubai five days ago.
“Sheryl, next time I’m flying with you. We should perform this challenge song together. One love, my sister,”.
