The National Police Service has intensified the fight against illicit brews following successful operations in Bomet County that led to the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of hundreds of litres of illegal alcohol.
On Sunday, August 30, police officers from Konoin Police Station, working together with National Government Administration Officers from Mogogosiek, raided a notorious brewing den in the area.
The multi-agency team recovered 150 litres of illicit brew during the operation.

One key suspect was arrested and is currently in custody at Konoin Police Station, awaiting arraignment in court.
In a separate operation, police officers from Chepalungu Police Station, in collaboration with the NGAO team from Ariyiet Sub-Location, conducted a raid that led to the recovery of 90 litres of illicit brew.
Two suspects were apprehended during the operation and placed in custody at Chepalungu Police Station pending arraignment.
The recovered brews have been secured as exhibits.
The National Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating the manufacture, sale, and consumption of illicit brews across the country.
Police also expressed gratitude to members of the public who continue to share timely information with law enforcement officers, noting that such cooperation has made these operations possible.
The suspects are expected to be charged in court once investigations are complete.
Police have warned that similar operations will continue in other parts of the country as the crackdown on illegal brewing networks intensifies.
