Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s son, Dan Totto, escaped with minor injuries after he was involved in a road accident on Saturday evening, August 1.
In a statement shared after the crash, Totto confirmed that the accident occurred while he was travelling from Nairobi to Migori.
He said all three occupants in his vehicle, as well as the driver of the other car involved in the collision, sustained only minor injuries.

While expressing gratitude for the support and prayers he had received from friends and relatives, Totto said everyone involved in the accident was safe.
He did not disclose the cause of the crash or the exact location where it happened.
Photos and videos obtained by Nairobileo.co showed the vehicle Totto was driving with extensive damage along one side, indicating the impact of the collision.
The accident occurred just a day after a separate fatal crash along the Mwea–Embu Highway in Kirinyaga County claimed nine lives.
Police said a lorry transporting goods lost control in the Murubara area of Mwea East and crashed into a tuk-tuk before hitting pedestrians.
Witnesses reported that the lorry driver had attempted to avoid potholes on the road before the vehicle veered off course.
The victims were reportedly travelling to work at the Mwea Irrigation Scheme when the accident occurred.
