Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has asked Kenyans to give him between three and four weeks to announce his political direction.
Speaking during a press briefing on Saturday, June 27, 2026, Nyoro said he has been reflecting on the country’s future and the kind of leadership and alliances required to achieve it.
According to the Kiharu MP, the decision he is preparing to make goes beyond political convenience and will be guided by what he believes is best for Kenya.
“I have been thinking about the way forward. In the next three to four weeks, I’ll give the way forward on which team I’ll decide to move forward with”, he said.
Nyoro said he has spent months reflecting on political formations and the broader national direction before arriving at any conclusions.
According to Nyoro, his decision will not be influenced by immediate political pressures but by long-term considerations about the country’s future.
Additionally , he acknowledged that he was part of the campaign team that supported the current administration and said he remains aware that his previous political choices continue to shape public expectations around his next move.
At the same time, he indicated that he had been working on ideas and proposals for several months that would inform the position he eventually takes.
The lawmaker further appealed to Kenyans not to pressure him into making a rushed political declaration amid ongoing public pressure.
“I plead with Kenyans so that I’m not pushed in the situation of the moment, as the storm has been ravaging me. It’s too weighty a decision to make,” Nyoro added. .
