Moses Kuria has signaled a possible shift toward former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s political camp.
In a post shared on Saturday evening, October 11, Kuria described Gachagua as Mt Kenya’s emerging kingpin, commending him for uniting leaders and residents across the region.
He observed that Gachagua has become the region’s most influential figure — a leader whose voice commands attention — and predicted that he would soon attain the status of Mt Kenya’s substantive kingpin.

Kuria added that he could consider joining Gachagua’s camp in the near future.
“To my brother Rigathi Gachagua. I am an honest man. By now you know that. It is an undeniable fact that majority of our Mt Kenya people listen to you. You are ahead of the rest of us. You are edging closer to be our undisputed Kingpin in the Mountain. In fact just like Gideon Moi and William Ruto are working together, I might consider working with you very soon,” he noted.
According to him, the undoing of Gachagua happens to be his tongue against those who differ with him.
Moses Kuria now appears to be warming up to Rigathi Gachagua after months of political rivalry.
Gachagua had previously accused Kuria of acting as President William Ruto’s envoy in the Mt Kenya region, alleging that he was among those used to create divisions within the populous voting bloc.
Kuria dismissed the claims, asserting that he possesses the political strength to stand independently.
The Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader resigned from government in July, where he had been serving as President Ruto’s senior advisor on economic matters.
