Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano has refuted claims that she was attacked by goons on her way to work.
The CS responded to a footage, which had since gone viral, showing unknown individuals attacking passengers inside a vehicle in an apparent road-rage incident.
The video was later circulated online with claims that the woman involved was Miano.
The CS responded to the claims on Monday, August 31, 2026,dismissing them as fake and urging the public to ignore the reports.
“Fake news and rumours spread like bushfire. Please, just ignore and have a fruitful week,” Miano stated.
Additionally, there is no presence of any detailed security guards, nor any response from a security figure, thus raising further questions on whether CS Miano was there or not.
There was also no presence of the lead vehicle in the footage.
In response to the matter, CS Miano has since confirmed that she is safe and sound, wishing the persons in the viral video safety and a quick recovery in the event of them having been harmed.
“I am safe, fully functional, and working as usual. My thoughts and prayers are with anyone who might have been affected by this, wishing them strength, peace, and a swift recovery,” Miano stated.
