Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Leader Rigathi Gachagua hosted thousands of his neighbours at his Wamunyoro home on Thursday, August 20, for a thanksgiving celebration and a shared meal.
The former Deputy President expressed gratitude to his guests for their cooperation during the 60 days he has spent hosting visitors from across the country for consultations on the formation of the next government.
He acknowledged his neighbours for their support in hosting visitors, allowing them to use their compounds for parking, keeping the residence clean, assisting in meal preparation, guiding visitors to Wamunyoro, and providing round-the-clock security around the compound.

Gachagua announced that the Wamunyoro consultative conclave would officially close on Monday, August 24.
He indicated that he would host two final delegations on that day, including visitors from Mount Kenya North, Isiolo, and Mandera, as well as a group of Gen Zs, before bringing down the tents.
He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to his neighbours for their love and loyalty, particularly during the period surrounding his impeachment.
Gachagua told those gathered that the visitors he had hosted in Wamunyoro carried one consistent message, urging him to run for the presidency in 2027, and he indicated that he had no choice but to respect the will of the people.
The gathering marked a significant moment in Gachagua’s political journey as he continues to build momentum and consult widely ahead of the next general election.
