Egerton University has launched a Parents Portal, a new platform that lets parents track the academic progress of their students.
The new portal was confirmed by the university, which introduced a new way for the institution to communicate with families, moving beyond phone calls and physical meetings to instant, round-the-clock digital access.
“The parents Portal is an exciting opportunity for parents/guardians/sponsors to become more involved in their student(s)’ academic progress,” the University stated.

Once logged in, parents will be able to view a student profile, including the registration number, academic programme, and other general information the university holds on record.
The fee structure section breaks down exactly how much is owed for each semester or term, helping families plan ahead without having to guess at figures.
Additionally, exam results will appear on the dashboard, though only provisional grades are shown, giving parents an early sense of how their child is performing before official grades are released.
