DCI Takes Over Probe Into Alleged Abduction of Jimmy Mutava in Mlolongo

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has taken over investigations into the alleged abduction of Jimmy Mutava following a report filed at Mlolongo Police Station.

In a statement issued on Sunday, August 2, the DCI said detectives from its Anti-Abduction Unit are now leading the probe into the incident, which was reported on July 27, 2026.

According to the agency, investigations are ongoing, with detectives pursuing several persons of interest as they seek to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.

The DCI said it will continue to update the public on significant developments as the investigation progresses.
