Neno Evangelism Center pastor James Ng’ang’a visited CS Alice Wahome to deliberate on the Affordable Housing Program.
Pastor Ng’ang’a had recently faced criticism for chasing away a stranded woman, Milka Moraa who had sought for his help for being unable to pay house rent but secured an affordable housing unit.
During the meeting, they discussed objectives and impact of affordable housing on Kenyans.
The CS informed Pastor Ng’ang’a that the Affordable Housing Programme is not only just about constructing houses but also about security and economic empowerment to millions of Kenyans.
Wahome also said that they hope to have delivered 1 million housing units in the next five years.
“Our goal is ambitious yet achievable: to deliver 1 million housing units in the next five years, reaching over 15 million Kenyans directly and indirectly. This initiative also aligns with Article 43 of the Kenyan Constitution which guarantees every citizen the right to accessible and adequate housing”
During the visit, the pastor offered to help those interested in the Affordable Housing make deposits and support them in their journey towards homeownership.
