Musalia Mudavadi to Vie for Presidency, Plans Revealed

The Amani National Congress (ANC) has expressed its decision to fold into President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) as a strategical political gain momentum.

During a meeting at the Bomas of Kenya, the ANC Deputy Party leader and Lamu Governor Issa Timamy disclosed that the merger was strategic since Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi will be presuming for Presidency in 2032.

“Let me say this we are taking this direction because our eyes are on 2032”, he spoke.

Mudavadi’s allies claim that the succession politics played a role in their biggest merger decision where the party made a deal with UDA to ensure President Ruto is re-elected in 2027 and in return, the UDA party supports Musalia Mudavadi as President in 2032.

The outgoing Secretary General and Omuhaya MP also noted that the route to merge with UDA was to make it easy for Mudavadi in 2032.

“Our eyes are in 2032; the decision we have taken is bumpy when you go there don’t be worried because we are eyeing 2032” Omboka said.

The outgoing party chair Kelvin Lunani further noted that if both parties join hands, the merger will form government in 2027 and beyond.

Following the merger, the ANC party officially approved the transfer of all its assets and obligations to the UDA party.
