One of the Mlolongo alleged abductees has been found dead.
This marks 45 days since the 3 mlolongo men went missing which the police denied holding them in their custody.
According to his lawyer Danstan Maanzo, the deceased known as Justus Mutumwa’s body was discovered in Ruai on Wednesday 29th January 2025 and moved to City Mortuary Nairobi.
He added that the body was found while the court proceedings to determine his whereabouts was still ongoing.

The family has confirmed that the body Ruai yesterday evening is indeed that of their kin, Justus Mutumwa. A quick check of fingerprints has confirmed that it is him
Lawyer Danstan Maanzo said.
This marked barely hours after the Inspector General (IG) Douglas Kanja and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had appeared in court regarding the missing of the Mlolongo 3.
The two had been summoned by Justice Chacha Mwita to explain their disappearance who claimed that investigations were ongoing to determine their whereabouts denying that the missing persons were not under their custody.
We can neither present the bodies nor can we formally prefer any charges against them because they are not under our custody.
DCI Amin told the court.
Lawyer Danstan Maanzo on the other hand wasn’t contented with their statement in court alleging that the story they came up with was not a real story.
Although they have confirmed that they don’t have the missing persons as police, there must be other State actors or criminals, and the responsibility solely depends on the police.
Maanzo said.
