Real Madrid had an impressive month, and their forward Kylian Mbappé received recognition for his outstanding performances. Kylian Mbappe has been named La Liga Player of the Month. Jude Bellingham on the other hand has been named the La Liga U23 Player of the Month for January.
Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid from PSG last summer, struggled to pick form. In the recent matches, he got it right and it has not been possible to go unrecognized. This month, Mbappé scored 5 goals in 3 matches, including his first La Liga hat-trick in the recent game against Valladolid.
In the voting, Mbappé edged out Dodi Lukebakio (Sevilla), Kike García (Alavés), Hugo Duro (Valencia), and Luis Milla (Getafe).
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham also secured a fresh piece of silverware on Tuesday. The Englishman scooped the La Liga U23 Player of the Month for January.
Midfielder Bellingham, for his part, has taken to the pitch in Spain’s top-flight matches and got himself involved in victories over all of Valencia, Las Palmas and Real Valladolid. This month, he has been involved in three direct goal contributions, a goal, and two assists.
These prestigious statistics ensured the 21-year-old beat out the competition to a prestigious individual accolade thus being voted La Liga Player of the Month for January, for players aged 23 and under.
Bellingham enjoyed a beautiful opening month of the year, helping Los Blancos win every league game they played in January. He already has seven goals and six assists in 17 La Liga appearances this season for Real Madrid.
