Donald Trump Officially Sworn In As US President

US President Donald Trump has finally taken his oath to become the 47th President of the United States.

He took his oath on 20th January 2025.

This marks the 60th inauguration ceremony in the United States and President Donald Trump\’s second inauguration ceremony.

Among those present during the President\’s swearing in ceremony included his former running mate Kamala Harris, former Presidents, members of the congress and tech C.E.O\’s.

The 47th US President was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts as Melania Trump held the Bible during the ceremony.

I Donald John Trump do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States so help me God.

After taking office, Donald Trump announced pardon for most of those who have been charged on January 6th, 2021, attack on the US Capital and also signed an executive action that extended the deadlines for TikTok\’s parent company to find a new owner or face possible ban in the US.

The new Head of State also declared a national emergency on the Southern border, triggering the use of pentagon resources and also announced that he is withdrawing US from the World Health Organization as his order said that \’WHO continues to demand unfairly onerous payments from the US\’.
