Molo Residents Protest Demanding Justice for Activist Richard Otieno Who was found dead in after being attacked using an axe

Nakuru County residents took to the streets on Sunday carrying the body of a deceased activist, Richard Otieno, demanding justice for his murder.

Activist Richard Otieno who is mostly known as Molo President, was reportedly found dead in Molo after being attacked using an axe by unknown assailants on Saturday night.

Following the murder, the protestors stormed the mortuary where his body was being held and carried it out to the streets as they demanded answers.

The protestors marched along the Njoro-Molo Road shouting for justice.

The deceased was a youth leader and reportedly a fierce government critic.

He was moreover an aspiring ward representative in the Molo Constituency before his untimely death.

It is still unclear whether Otieno had gone missing before meeting his tragic death.

His murder adds to a series of unexplained disappearances and deaths that have plagued the nation over the last months.

Notably, barely two weeks ago, 24-year-old Ibrahim Hilal Mwiti, an activist who had been missing since November last year in Nairobi, was found dead in a mortuary in Thika.

Mwiti had been missing for seven weeks before his dead body was found at the Thika Level Five Hospital.
