The government plans to introduce a digital system for processing offences beginning April 2025.
This will add an advantage to Kenyans as they will no longer be required to report criminal incidents at the police station.
The digital system will see police service process fines and implement a digital occurrence book.

Building on the Security and Defense strategic dialogue with Development partners held in the final quarter of last year, the Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National administration, Dr. Raymond Omollo met with the European Union Ambassador to Kenya, Henriette Geiger to discuss support for the digitalization of National police service operations.
The statement said.
Central to these efforts is the introduction of a digital system for processing traffic fines and the implementation of a digital occurrence book.

The ideology of the digital OB was initiated in 2023 to enhance transparency and eliminate the disappearance of case records at police stations.
The new development will be part of the State’s pledge for availing of over 5,000 government services online.
