Director Phil has recently shared his journey of self-growth following his divorce from Kate Actress.
In an interview on Clearing The Airwaves, Phil mentioned how the device led him to reflect on himself.
He went on to note that people should not blame their partners but should instead focus on their own issues, recognize their shortcomings, and think about what they could have done better.

However, he admitted to grappling with tough questions about himself and the circumstances leading to the divorce.
”Divorce has also taken me to that point of looking inwardly like what did I do wrong , where did I fall short, why did I miss this and this, what should I have worked on myself, what should I have improved, never ever gone on a blame game,” he said.
Phil continued to disclose that he sought advice from men who had experienced divorce years earlier but found many of them still harbouring bitterness toward their ex-partners.
“You talk to someone who divorced five years ago, and the guy is still bitter. I remember telling myself five years from now, I don’t want to be this angry and bitter at my ex-wife,” Phil explained.

The filmmaker focusing on himself helped him not to channel his frustration to his ex- wife.
“I’m not going to channel my anger and blame on her. I’m going to look at myself. What did I do wrong? I will never focus on her but myself. Divorce has also taken me to that point of looking inwardly. Where did I fall short? Why did I miss this?” he reflected.
The former couple ended their 10-year relationship in 2023 and have since maintained a peaceful co-parenting arrangement for their daughter.
