Ezekiel Otuoma’s mother expressed gratitude to her daughter-in-law, Rachael Otuoma, during his burial session for taking care of Otuoma during his lowest.
She recalled her own experience of taking care of Otuoma’s father when he was sick and acknowledged how tough it was.
“Rachael, thank you so much. Big thanks for carrying the burden on me. I took on the same responsibility for three years when Otuoma’s dad was bedridden, and I saw the burden. May God bless you for carrying that burden,” she said

Mama Otuoma went on to urge Rachael not to abandon the family, stating she was ready to visit the home anytime.
“Your house is down there. Feel welcome anytime you want to visit your husband’s place. I will always welcome you. I have nothing against you. Forgive me for the past differences. May God be with you,” she said.
Rachael Otuma had been a pillar of strength to the late footballer during his prolonged battle with motor neurone disease.
The late Ezekiel Otuoma was laid to rest on Saturday, January 11, at their home in Gem Ramula, Siaya county.
