The Kenya airways (KQ) has officially handed over retired Boeing 737-700 aircraft to Mang’u High school.
The donated aircraft will be for the purposes of studying.
The Institution had previously received their first donation from Wilson airport.

Among those present during the donation ceremony included Archbishop Philip Anyolo of the Archdiocese of Nairobi, Mang’u high school Principal John Kuria, Nation Media Group Chairperson Wilfred Kiboro and Kasarani MP Captain Ronad Karauri.

This is an aircraft that is known worldwide and Mang’u is going to be the first school to receive such a donation from Kenya Airways. It is a milestone for our school and the community around Mang’u.

He also added that the aircraft will encourage students in the aviation area to target higher grades noting that in the recent KCSE results, the students had scored a mean score of 10.1 points having recorder 107 straight As and 164 A-.
The Chairperson of Nation Media Group Wilfred Kiboro also stated that they will make sure that they provide inspiring story for the young me and women to aspire to greater things and heights and assured that the aircraft will benefit thousands of students who would come to Mang’u High School in the future.
The donated aircraft will serve as a training resource for the school enhancing aviation lessons and providing students with a modern training platform.
