Concern continues to grow among Kenyans over the whereabouts of comedienne Star Chebet, an actress mostly known from ‘The Real Househelps of Kawangware’.
The concerts come after Chebet’s popular social media accounts have been inactive for months, leaving fans worried about her well-being.
The last time she was seen online was in June 2024 and she shared a deeply personal account of her struggles with mental health and drug use.

Star Chebet started by opening up about the challenges she faced following her mother’s passing in 2022.
She went on to reveal that her struggle with drugs began in 2018 and intensified after her loss. In 2023, she suffered from a severe migraine for four days, which led to insomnia and hallucinations.
She began hearing voices, which prompted her to leave her home and seek refuge at her aunt’s place.
However, the voices persisted, growing louder over time.
The actress sought treatment at Chiromo Mental Health Hospital, where she stayed for two weeks but despite the intervention, her struggles continued.
She moved houses in 2024, but the auditory hallucinations followed her, leading her to travel across various towns, including Nakuru, Mtwapa, Malindi, Mombasa, and Kericho, in search of peace.
She had moreover explained that her journey took a spiritual turn when she began to associate the voices with spiritual experiences.
Chebet admitted she might have tapped into the wrong spiritual realms during her quest for solace.

She expressed regret over her actions, asking for forgiveness from those she may have wronged.
Recently, social media users shared updates claiming that Star Chebet’s whereabouts had been identified.
An account named Kalenjin Media reported that Chebet’s cousin, Cate, revealed she had moved to Nanyuki three months ago. Cate has since been in contact with Chebet’s landlord, Bosco, who had raised concerns about her welfare.
It is alleged that Neighbours reported that Chebet had been staying indoors and ordering food regularly until January 1, when the orders stopped.
They also mentioned hearing occasional screams from her house, prompting the landlord to reach out to her family.
Details surrounding her condition remain unclear but the hope for her recovery remains strong.
