Eric Latiff joins Nation Media Group Hours after quitting Standard Group

Renowned journalist Eric Latiff on Monday, January 6, joined the Nation Media Group hours after leaving Standard Group.

In a recent statement by Simatoi Dajom who is the Head of Broadcasting at NMG, the media house confirmed Latiff’s entry.

“I am thrilled to announce that Eric Latiff is joining Nation Media Group starting today!” Dajom’s statement read.

According to NMG, Latiff’s arrival would transform operations in their broadcasting and digital departments, aligning well with the company’s goals and objectives.

“Latiff is a highly regarded and accomplished media personality, renowned for his creativity, passion, and stellar track record across TV, Radio, and Digital platforms. With over 27 years of experience in the media industry, Latiff brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for developing new media. Having Latiff on board aligns perfectly with our strategy to continuously innovate and elevate our broadcast offerings and underscores our commitment to creating multimedia content that our customers love.I am confident that his inclusion will bring much-needed impact in the fast-changing media landscape,” Dajom affirmed in the statement.

The journalist had taken to his X account revealing his exit from Standard Group where he was one of the founders of Spice FM’s The Situation Room and he also anchored news on KTN.

The seasoned journalist served as a host of the show for five years.

In a heartfelt message, Latiff bid goodbye to the show that he hosted together with CT Muga, Ndu Okoh, and Njeri Thorne acknowledging the growth and impact the show has had on Kenyans.

Moreover, The journalist also worked for other media houses spearheading the launch of Kenya’s first vernacular station, Kameme FM and K24.
