In a statement released by Lwaga’s management, Ospo Music Group, on January 2, the team clarified the reasons behind their absence.
According to the management, despite the artist arriving at the event as planned, they were met with disorganisation that did not meet professional standards.
The management continued to note that their efforts proved futile as the conditions were deemed unsuitable for Joel Lwaga to perform.

They cited organisational issues and unmet contractual obligations as the key factors that prevented them from taking the stage.
“Despite our team arriving at the event as planned, we encountered significant challenges in the arrangement and organization of the event, which did not meet the agreed-upon standards and contractual obligations. As ministers of the Gospel and professionals, we worked tirelessly and engaged in discussions with the event organizers in an attempt to resolve these issues and proceed with the performance. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement, as the conditions were not conducive for Joel Lwaga to take the stage.”

Apologising to the fans, Lwaga’s team expressed deep regret to fans who had eagerly anticipated his performance.
“We sincerely apologize to all the fans who came with high expectations to experience Joel’s ministry in music. Your support means the world to us, and it pains us deeply that circumstances beyond our control led to this outcome.”
The team moreover reassured fans of their dedication to creating better opportunities for performances in the future.
The crossover event was hit by various challenges, leading to several artistes, including Lwaga, missing their scheduled performances.
