Juventus Defeat Napoli 2-0 to Ease Pressure on Spalletti

Juventus secured an important 2-0 victory over Napoli at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, November 1, easing the pressure on head coach Luciano Spalletti after a difficult run of results.

The encounter was closely contested during the opening half, with both teams struggling to convert their attacking opportunities into goals.

Juventus defender Juan Cabal came close to opening the scoring but saw his effort strike the woodwork.

Juventus finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute through Kerim Alajbegovic, who drove towards the edge of the penalty area before unleashing a powerful strike into the top corner.

Napoli’s hopes of recovering were dealt a major setback five minutes later when Luca Marianucci received a second yellow card for a foul on Cabal, leaving the visitors with ten players.

Juventus took advantage of their numerical superiority and sealed the victory three minutes from time when Jeremie Boga produced another impressive long-range finish, sending the ball low into the far corner.

The result lifted Juventus to seventh place with 17 points, three ahead of eighth-placed Napoli.

The victory provided some relief for Spalletti, whose position had come under scrutiny following the team’s recent disappointing performances.
