Bradford City advanced to the quarter-finals of the English League Cup on Tuesday, October 27, after defeating Peterborough United 2-0 at Valley Parade.
The League One side took the lead through Macauley Gillesphey in the 13th minute, giving the hosts an early advantage in the fourth-round encounter.
Adam Phillips added the second goal in the 67th minute to confirm Bradford’s progression and leave Peterborough unable to recover.
Bradford’s defensive performance was another highlight, with goalkeeper Jon McCracken recording his seventh consecutive clean sheet.
The result extended Bradford’s unbeaten run across all competitions to 12 matches, underlining their consistency during an important stage of the season.
Bradford now advance to the last eight, while Peterborough must turn their attention back to their league campaign after missing the opportunity to progress in the cup.
