Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has denied rumors of a notice claiming he has been suspended from office.
A fake notice had circulated on social media claiming that Ezekiel Mutua had been suspended as MCSK CEO.
The notice had claimed that Ezekiel Mutua had been suspended and was not allowed to conduct business on behalf of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya.

This is to inform the public, our stakeholders and esteemed members that Ezekiel Mutua (whose photo appears above) has been suspended and is not allowed to conduct business on behalf of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK). MCSK shall bot therefore be liable for any contractual obligations that arise from the said person.
The note stated.
Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) officially suspends its CEO Dr Ezekiel Mutua following a lengthy internal legal battle.
The suspension comes after a court ruling which allowed the newly elected board to assume office.

Ezekiel Mutua Denied the rumors.
He took to social media to deliver the statement on 25th November 2024.
My attention has been brought to some insidious propaganda being peddled on social media concerning MCSK leadership and in particular our CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, MBS.
The statement said.
The statement also said that the material being circulated by people with ill motives is pure propaganda by the cartels in the industry who are unhappy with the great work Dr. Mutua is doing for MCSK and the music industry in general.

Bringing the change in an industry that has for far too long been held hostage by cartels at the expense of the artists is bound to attract enemies, but we are fully behind the CEO and his team at MCSK as they transform the industry.
MCSK added in their statement.
The statement further said that appropriate action against the authors of the malicious documents must be taken to ensure that they face law for defamation while members and stakeholders should remain rest assured that Dr.Mutua is in charge and that MCSK leadership is fully behind him.
