Digital content creator Faustine Lipuke who is popularly known as Baba Talisha has expressed concerns over how TikTok with overtime has changed.
In a recent post, Baba Talisha gave his opinion on the major issues that are making the TikTok platform toxic.
According to him, he feels TikTokers will start engaging in activities that may demean the social media culture in the country.
“The whole day tiktok ilikuwa chai tu i came to realise that mahali tiktok imefika itakua too toxic untill itafuka mahali we start losing tiktokers because of vitu zinaendelea tiktok its very toxic tiktokers wataanza kuuana bure because of the things you do things you say live sijui baba Talisha amefanya nini…” he said.
Baba Talisha moreover looked at how the platform was used in the past compared to now, noting that it has sadly turned into a space for online gossip, criticism, hate speech, and cyberbullying.
Talking about cyberbullying, the digital influencer believes that people who engage in such acts are always idle, and they do such things for public impressions.
“TikTok is a very toxic platform si kama kitambo alafu hao wenye wanafanya izi vitu they have nothing to lose they don’t have any brand they don’t have anything they only thing they have is their life of which they don’t even care about it but again there is another person that mwenye ako na something to lose maybe a job maybe a brand maybe company maybe friends and they really don’t care” he noted.
He also advised those involved in cyberbullying to avoid it since it helps in gaining nothing.
“If you are a brand ambassador and you are on TikTok kindly avoid hizi mvurutano stop reacting to everything because we have people on that platform who just spread rumors and they are online bullies and whenever you respond they enjoy and credit”
