A serious road accident occurred on Sunday at Kapmakaa, Chepsir, along the busy Nakuru–Kericho Highway near Mau Summit in Kericho County, leaving scores of passengers injured after a Climax Coaches bus overturned.
According to reports from the scene, the bus lost control before rolling several times and landing on its side by the roadside.
Images obtained show the badly damaged vehicle with injured passengers lying scattered along the road as shocked bystanders rushed in to help.

No police officers or emergency medical personnel were immediately present at the scene, forcing members of the public to carry out initial rescue efforts under difficult conditions.
Witnesses said the accident happened without involvement of any other vehicle, effectively ruling out a head-on collision.
The exact cause of the crash, however, remains unclear as investigations are yet to be launched or officially confirmed.
Emergency response was still ongoing at the time of publication, with authorities yet to confirm whether there were any fatalities.
The ill-fated bus is affiliated with Climax Coaches, a company that has previously faced scrutiny over a series of road accidents.
In the past year alone, the operator has been linked to at least four major crashes, raising renewed concerns over road safety standards within the fleet.
