Deputy President Kithure Kindiki Returns from Botswana, Hints at New Collaborations

Deputy President of Kenya Kithure Kindiki has return from Botswana.

The Deputy was on his first assignment in Botswana to represent President William Ruto during the inauguration ceremony of President Duma Boko.

Kindiki recently shared highlights of his trip to Botswana which he shared on his X account formerly known as twitter.

Kenya considers Botswana an ally in continent economic development, peace and security, tourism education, health and renewable energy. The two countries have shared experiences in politics, democracy, development and trade that date back to the independent struggle.

The principal assistant of the President stated.

He added that currently there was over 1200 Kenyan citizens residing and working in Botswana and the Government appreciated the cordial treatment accorded to those Kenyan professionals who overtime contributed to set up governance and educatiob strctures in Botswana.

On behalf of President William Ruto, held bilateral talks with President Duma Gideon Boko in Gaborone, Botswana that focused on cooperation in the areas of climate change, tourism, trade in coffee and tea, beef farming, development of horticulture and floriculture, mining, cooperatives management and regional peace, security and stability.

Kithure Kindiki also stated.

The deputy President further stated that he had presented to President Duma Boko, Kenya’s request to support the candidature of Hon. Raila Odinga to chair the African Union Commission (AUC)
