The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has received ballot papers and statutory forms ahead of the Thursday, May 14 by-elections.
According to the commission, the election materials arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Monday morning aboard three pallets.
The ballot papers and forms are intended for the Emurua Dikirr Constituency parliamentary by-election in Narok County, as well as the Porro Ward by-election in Samburu County and the Endo Ward by-election in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

After arrival at JKIA, the pallets were transported to the IEBC warehouse in Nairobi’s Industrial Area, where they will be prepared for distribution to the respective constituency tallying centres.
IEBC also confirmed that the ballot papers and statutory forms were printed by Inform Lykos (Hellas) SA, a firm based in Athens, Greece.
IEBC has said preparations for Thursday’s by-elections are at an advanced stage, with security arrangements and distribution of election materials already underway.
The commission noted that training of polling officials is ongoing ahead of the exercise, while campaigns are set to end on Monday at 5 p.m.
The Emurua Dikirr parliamentary by-election will see UDA candidate David Kipsang Keter face off with DCP’s Vincent Kibet Rotich, who was unveiled by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in April.
The seat became vacant following the death of former MP Johana Ng’eno in a plane crash.
