East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Kanini Kega, Gachagua’s ally is in mourning following the death of his mother, Mama Annah Nyatoro Wairimu.
According to reports, Amah passed away early Friday morning.
The news of of her passing was confirmed by Kega himself in an emotional message where he described the loss as devastating to the family.
“I am devastated and heartbroken. It is well with my soul; however, it is difficult to believe that my mother has rested. It is painful,” he said.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also wrote a condolence message describing Mama Annah as a respected family matriarch who worked hard to educate her children and was widely admired for her kindness within her village.
Gachagua also expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Mama Annah as a respected family matriarch who played a key role in raising and educating her children.
“It is with profound sadness that I have learnt of the passing on of Mama Annah Nyatoro Wairimu, mother of EALA MP Hon. Kanini Kega, early today,” Gachagua said.
“It was only yesterday that I gave you an assignment to the United Kingdom, as my younger brother, only for you to arrive and receive the sad news. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this difficult moment,” he added.
