Police in Nakuru have apprehended a total of 28 suspects in a major operation against criminal gangs that have been terrorising residents of Nakuru East Sub-County.
In a statement on Friday, April 25, 2026, the Directorate of Criminal Investiagations (DCI) revealed that the officers made raids on multiple criminal hideouts within the area, rounding up suspects believed to be behind a spate of criminal activities.
Acting on intelligence, the officers stormed a cramped one-room house in Kaloleni Estate, arresting 12 suspects red-handed as they allegedly plotted their next wave of criminal missions.

According to a statement by the DCI, four more suspects were smoked out of another nearby den within the same estate.
Police widened the net to Freehold Estate, where four additional suspects were cornered and arrested.
Eight more suspects were rounded up at the busy Railway Stage area, tightening the noose on a network believed to have been terrorising residents across Nakuru East and its surroundings.
The suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing and awaiting arraignment in court.
“Through intelligence-led operations, the National Police Service (NPS) reaffirms its commitment to dismantling criminal gangs and ensuring public safety nationwide”, the statement added.
