The summit is expected to convene public and private sector leaders to explore ways of shifting Africa’s infrastructure agenda from planning to actual implementation.
Key discussions will focus on infrastructure-driven economic growth, including the development of regional transport corridors, industrialisation strategies, capital mobilisation, and the harmonisation of regulatory and policy frameworks across African markets.
Among the notable speakers will be Kenya’s President William Ruto, Africa Finance Corporation President Samaila Zubairu, Aliko Dangote, and African Union Commissioner for Infrastructure, Energy and Digitisation Lerato Mataboge.
The event comes roughly a month after Museveni last visited Kenya, underscoring continued high-level regional engagement between the two countries.
He visited Kenya as part of ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic and economic cooperation between Uganda and Kenya.
During the visit, he joined President Ruto in Kisumu County for the groundbreaking of Phase 2C of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) at Kibos, a project aimed at extending the line from Naivasha to the Ugandan border through Kisumu.
