Comedian Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush, has announced that he has separated from his wife, Celestine Ndinda.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, April 21, the comedian said the decision to part ways was reached amicably after careful consideration, emphasizing that it was grounded in mutual respect and understanding.

He also underscored their shared commitment to family, noting that they have been co-parenting and that their children remain a top priority.

Njugush added that they will continue to support each other as they adjust to the new phase of their relationship and appealed for privacy during this period.

The relationship between the two traces back to their time at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC), where they were both students.

They first crossed paths through the institution’s drama club, forming a connection that was initially rooted in friendship rather than romance.

At the time, each of them had an interest in other people. Njugush was drawn to one of Celestine’s friends, while Celestine had her attention on one of his friends.

Even so, they spent a significant amount of time together, particularly through drama activities and workshops, which allowed their bond to grow stronger over time.

What began as a close friendship gradually evolved into a deeper relationship, laying the foundation for their journey together.

After years of friendship and a growing romantic relationship, Timothy Kimani and Celestine Ndinda chose to formalize their union.

The couple exchanged vows on December 16, 2016, in a vibrant ceremony attended by close family, friends, and figures from the entertainment scene.

They later built a family together, welcoming their first son, Tugi, in 2018, followed by their second son, Toria, in 2022.
