Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has reportedly returned to his Dari Business Park premises.
According to the former CS, a court order protects the disputed property from any sale, transfer or eviction while the case is still ongoing.
Tuju maintained that the court had issued orders to preserve the status of the assets, barring any transactions or interference.
“THAT pending the hearing and determination of this application, there shall be an order preserving the substratum of the dispute, and accordingly, there shall be no sale, transfer, assignment, alienation, charge, lease, disposal, or in any manner whatsoever dealing with the title and/or ownership of the suit property (L.R. No. 11320/3 and L.R. No. 1055/165) until further orders of the Court,” Cited court ruling read by Tuju.

Tuju revealed that he will continue staying at the premises and said he does not need protection from security officers, whom he accused of acting under the influence of his rivals.
“After all, they illegally raided my premises, they assaulted me, and they or their masters can not be my friends. If these are the type of people who claim to be my friends, I would rather be with my enemies,” the Former CS said.
He also insisted that police should only enforce court orders and not take part in what he described as attempts to seize his property.
“The police should only be on site to enforce Court orders not to be part of a land grab operation. According to the latest Court rulings, this is my property. The police can not come to evict me without a valid court order. If they produce such a court order, I will obey”
This follows the attempted auction of Tuju’s high-value assets in Karen.
According to reports, the case arises from an alleged failure to repay a Sh1.9 billion loan from the East African Development Bank (EADB), taken in 2015.
The original loan was USD 9,197,084 (about Sh1.2 billion), with the outstanding balance growing due to accrued interest.
