Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called for the resignation of Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
This follows an attack on Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi in Kisumu on Wednesday.
Speaking to the press on Thursday, April 9, 2026, Kalonzo called for the immediate resignation of the Omollo.
The wiper leader accused him of hiring the goons that attacked Osotsi in Kisumu, giving him up to Friday morning to exit office.
According to Kalonzo, Omollo’s name has been dragged into the matter and other incidents leading to attacks on leaders opposed to the government before the recent incident, saying that resignation is the honorable thing the PS can do.
“Raymond Omollo should immediately resign. We demand that he resign immediately and we are giving him upto tomorrow. Raymond omollo’s name is plainly placed before kenyans and these are his goons,” Kalonzo said.
“If he does not resign, his boss, Ruto, should fire him. If he doesn’t, then we’ll go for both,” he added.
Osotsi was reportedly attacked by a group of youths in Kisumu, inside one of the joints in the lakeside city.
According to CCTV footage that emerged after the attack, the Vihiga senator was seen pinned to the floor of what appears to be a small café, with multiple attackers closing in on him from every side.
He was further seen trying to run for his life, trying to shield himself as three youths slap and kick him repeatedly while he cries out for help.
Within a few seconds, blood drops are seen on the floor, possibly from the scores of injuries on the senator.
