Former Chief Justice David Maraga has announced that he has raised Ksh8 million for his 2027 presidential campaign.
In a statement on Tuesday, April 7, Maraga expressed gratitude to the Kenyans who have contributed to his campaign fund.
He described the donations as a reflection of the determination and faith of citizens who remain committed to the country’s future.

“Eight million shillings. Given by Kenyans. Ordinary, determined, faithful Kenyans who refuse to give up on this country. I am humbled and deeply grateful,” Maraga stated.
The former CJ also encouraged those who have not yet contributed to consider supporting his campaign efforts.
Maraga also urged his supporters to share the campaign initiative with others to encourage wider participation.
On March 30, he called on Kenyans to actively support his political ambitions by contributing financially to his 2027 presidential bid.
The former Chief Justice emphasized that donations from ordinary citizens would make the campaign a collective effort, with accountability to the contributors.
Interested Kenyans can make contributions through his official campaign website or via M-Pesa Paybill number 4164137, using the same account number.
Since announcing in July 2025 that he would rely on public contributions to fund his campaign, Maraga has expressed confidence that Kenyans will continue to support his efforts.
He disclosed that he plans to contribute between Ksh1 million and Ksh2 million of his own money to his campaign.
