About her education background, Gatwiri began her education at Kithoka Primary School in Meru County. After completing her KCPE exams, she joined Bishop Lawi Imathiu Secondary School.
She later joined Kenyatta University and she chose to study film production, a field she was passionate about.
However, her father did not approve of her choice because according to him the field was not marketable hence forcing her to pursue teaching.
Her journey into the entertainment world began when she realized her accent made her friends laugh and she joined the Kenyatta University Travelling Theatre and took part in many shows.
Her body was found at her home, though the cause of death is still not known.
