Charles Kanjama Officially Takes Charge as the 52nd LSK President

Charles Kanjama has officially been sworn in as the 52nd Law Society of Kenya president.

The current LSK President was sworn in on March 28, 2026.

In a statement on his social media account, Kanjama described his election as both an honour and a responsibility entrusted to him by members of the bar.

“Today, I took oath as the 52nd President of the Law Society of Kenya; an honour I receive with deep humility and a profound sense of responsibility. I am grateful to the members of our noble Bar for the trust and confidence you have placed in me,” he stated.

Kanjama further appreciated the support he received from members, noting that their confidence represents a call to leadership to serve with integrity.

“Your faith is not lost on me; it is a call to serve with integrity, courage and unwavering commitment to the rule of law,” he added.

He further paid tribute to the outgoing council for its service and recognised other candidates who contested for leadership positions, saying the society draws strength from diverse views.
