Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has discoursed that his newly launched political platform, LindaMwananchi has attracted approximately 25,000 members within its first week of operation.
Taking it to his X account on Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Senator described the milestone as encouraging as he also urged supporters to keep perspective on the numbers.
“We closed this week just under 25k pale LindaMwananchi.com. This is impressive lakini perspective ni muhimu. 25k will get you elected MCA in almost all the wards in Kenya, MP in a few constituencies and senator in Lamu and Isiolo counties going by the 2022 data”, Sifuna stated.
The website was launched to gauge public backing for the āSisi Ndiyo Sifunaā movement allowing citizens to subscribe and show their support.
Furthermore, the Linda Mwananchi team has resumed its political activities, with the first rally planned in Narok County.
According to reports, the rally is expected to mobiliselize grassroots support ahead of upcoming campaigns, with the platform aiming to strengthen citizen engagement and political participation across the country.
This comes after the Nairobi Senator regained his prominence after his reinstatement by the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal (PPDT) after being removed from his position as secretary-general of his party.
The case is expected to be mentioned on March 26, 2026.
