Kenya Railways Warns of Temporary Traffic Disruption on Mombasa’s Moi Avenue

Kenya Railways has announced a temporary traffic disruption along Moi Avenue in Mombasa.

This is to allow for emergency repair works on the Mbaraki Rail Over Road Bridge.

The affected section will stretch from the Moi Avenue-Tangana Road roundabout to the Moi Avenue-Mogadishu Road roundabout.

Kenya Railways has advised motorists to plan their journeys accordingly.

According to Kenya Railways, the closure is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, this year, from 6am to 10pm, and it will be necessary to ensure the safety and reliability of the railway infrastructure.

Drivers travelling from KPA Gate 10 and the Docks area are advised to use the alternative route via Mogadishu Road, Zanzibar Road, and Shimanzi Road.

Those heading to KPA Gate 10 and the Docks area should take Tangana Road, Mijikenda Street, Lumumba Road, and Shimanzi Road as an alternative.

Kenya Railways has further urged motorists to observe all traffic management arrangements and comply with instructions from police officers and traffic marshals on site.
