James Orengo Calls on Kenyans to Reclaim Country from Kenya Kwanza

Siaya Governor James Orengo has urged Kenyans to take back their country from the Kenya Kwanza government, which he accused of authoritarianism.

Speaking on Wednesday, March 11, during a parallel report by the Linda Mwananchi faction on the 10-point agenda, Orengo dismissed the Broad-based government’s report as fraudulent and warned that Kenyans could no longer wait for change.

He said reclaiming the nation could not rely on Parliament or the courts, claiming both had been captured by the current regime.

The Siaya County Chief urged Kenyans to take to the streets to demand election reforms if they want free and fair elections in 2027.

Governor James Orengo expressed distrust in President William Ruto and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), saying neither could be relied upon to ensure a transparent vote.

He added that his immediate priority is to rescue the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) from what he described as State capture.

Once the party is reclaimed, the next stage would be to begin organising, as he noted the political “ceasefire” is over.

Meanwhile, the Linda Mwananchi faction rated the government’s 10-point agenda implementation report poorly, calling it “10-Point Lies” and awarding it just 1 out of 10.

The group argued that the decline in progress over the implementation period was so pronounced it could have merited a negative score.
