The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has sought for investors to develop and manage restaurants and a passenger lounge at the Moi International Airport (MIA) in Mombasa.
In a notice on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, KAA announced several investment opportunities within different sections of the airport’s terminal facilities.
According to the authority, it is targeting private sector partners to establish and operate food outlets and passenger lounges in efforts to improve passenger experience at the coastal airport.
The investments include development and management of a restaurant at Terminal 1 landside, a restaurant at the international departures terminal, and another restaurant at the domestic departures terminal.
KAA is also seeking investors to develop and operate a passenger lounge at the domestic departures terminal.

Interested investors will be required to attend pre-bid site visits scheduled for March 18 and March 19 at the airport to familiarise themselves with the project locations and operational requirement .
KAA also invited bids for the supply and maintenance of executive vehicles, the supply of drinking water and dispensing services, and the provision of cleaning services at KAA’s head office.
In regarding to this, the authority has set a timeline for the submission of bids for all the tenders, which has been set for March 26, 2026, before 11am.
