Ruto Thanks Voters After UDA Wins 4 By-Election Seats

President William Ruto has thanked voters in Isiolo South, West Kabras, Muminji, and Evurore following the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party’s victories in the Thursday, February 26 by-election. 

The President expressed appreciation for the support shown to UDA candidates in the four constituencies.

In a statement released on Friday, February 27, Ruto acknowledged the role of the residents in strengthening the party’s position and highlighted the significance of their participation in the electoral process.

He noted that the by-election results reaffirm the growing national appeal of UDA and its vision to build a solid political platform with long-term influence across the country.

“Thank you, Isiolo South, West Kabras, Muminji, and Evurore, for standing firmly with the United Democratic Alliance in yesterday’s by-elections. We are firmly on course to building a solid national political party whose vision goes beyond generations as we move Kenya to the first world,” Ruto noted.

President Ruto also went on to congratulate the winners noting that their victories demonstrate the confidence voters have in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leadership. 

He commended the elected officials for their success and the trust placed in them by residents.

In the Isiolo South parliamentary race, UDA’s Tubi Mohammed won with 7,352 votes, defeating his sister Bina Mohammed of the Jubilee Party, who received 634 votes, while National Economic Development Party’s Isack Abduba Fayo came third with 44 votes. 

Isiolo South Returning Officer Abdi Sheikh declared Tubi the MP-elect and issued the IEBC certificate.

UDA also secured wins in Mbeere North, Embu County, with Duncan Muratia Nyaga taking the Evurore Ward seat after garnering 7,853 votes, beating the Democratic Party of Kenya’s Albert Muchira. 

In Muminji Ward, Peterson Njau won with 3,207 votes, ahead of DEB’s Boniface Ngari, who received 2,232 votes.

Moreover Elphas Shalakha claimed victory in the West Kabras ward by-election, receiving 3,317 votes and defeating DCP’s Bramwel Khaemba, who secured 2,640 votes.
