Faith Kipyegon, Beatrice Chebet, Emmanuel Wanyonyi Nominated for Track Athletes of the Year

Kenyan athletes, Faith Kipyegon, Beatrice Chebet and Emmanuel Wanyonyi have been nominated for prestigious track athletes of the year award.

This is because of their remarkable performances in the past years and the contributions to sports.

Emmanuel Wanyonyi has been 800m race champion of middle-distance running. His dedication towards sports has contributed to his achievement of being nominated in the track athletes of the year.

World record holder Faith Kipyegon also broke the records for winning 10,000m marathons. Being a gold medal winner, she deserved to be nominated due to her outstanding performances.

BeatriceChebet, also holds a history of being the world record holder in sports.

The world record holder Beatrice Chebet of 10,000m currently. She won a record of 28:54:14.

The world athletic shared that the athletes chosen reflected outstanding performances achieved at Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The three Kenyan athletes will have to fight for the spot till the end with other athletes who also participated in the 2024 Olympic Games.

Voting to determine the track athletes of the year is already opened and is available on world athletics social media platforms.

It will be opened till the 27th of October.
