Jackson Kuria Kihara, alias Cop Shakur, has called out singer Iyanii after his performance at a recent event.
In a statement on X on Friday, February 6, 2026, Cop Shakur invoked the late Rex Masai’s name, reminding the singer of the painful experience the deceased’s mother had.
Iyaani! Do you know the woman in the photo? If you don’t, she is Mama Rex Masai. You might not know her, but I’m sure you know Rex Masai. The other day, you performed and sanitised the person who ordered the killing of her son. Mama Rex worked very hard to educate her son,” he stated.
Just imagine you had a son or a brother, and then suddenly he was killed by the regime; would you still have go to bed with the regime?” Cop Shakur added.
The 24-year-old was killed in June 2024, during the Gen Z protests, as he was heading home from work.
